What's Happening:

Our interest in the students of UC San Diego extends far beyond the classroom.  We strive to foster the intellectual, social, ethical and personal development of our students.  Generous donors who support the various programs of Student Affairs play an important role in the lives of our students through philanthropic initiatives including:  

• Creating Opportunities in Education. 
  With private support, we can greatly increase financial need and merit scholarships at UCSD, as well as give students opportunities to participate in special research and education abroad programs.  With your help, we can make a UCSD education a reality for talented students.

• Enriching Students’ Lives.
  Our goal is to enhance the lives of our students by expanding and providing student services and facilities, and by enriching educational experiences outside the classroom.  Our initiatives include programs in each of the six colleges, the International Center, and UCSD Athletics and Recreation.

• Preparing Our Students for the Future.
  Career, volunteer and leadership training activities provide students with real world opportunities and skills needed to help them reshape business, society and their local communities—both before and after their graduation from UCSD.
